Mighty ill dude, real cool. The dude Cashtro and his new mixtape Crosbification. Just finished listening to the whole damn thing. Definitely uplifted rhymes and concepts compared to The Crosby Show (Which was still ill check out Skinny Nigga Toothpick). A slew of producers featured on this mixtape as well compared to the last one. The artistry is well developed and drawn out. Overall ill ass mixtape I’m bout to go trip on my picks another time fool. CROSBY!

I am from Ottawa. OTT-A-WA. I moved out here some time ago from Toronto. I started with saying that because not enough people say it with pride. I think it’s sad. It’s a wonderful city. Quiet, has a little history (What am I saying, a lot actually) to it. Most of all though, it has a young if not none existent urban community. This is great because if you’re determined and smart enough, you can pull off anything. Keisha Chante, Belly, Masari, Harvey Stripes and probably Jay Vado next. That’s 4 artists to have become something out of Ottawa. Yet, there is no support.

I think that’s why I started Who City. Who City is my blog, my brainchild. The point of it is to create a forum for Ottawa’s urban community. Somewhere the Urban community can take a look at itself in the mirror, and shape itself right. I named it Who City because when you think of Ottawa, you ask what has really come from/of Ottawa? I also named it who city because Ottawa does not really have an identity yet. Hopefully with this Ottawa can become something through knowing more about itself. Seeing its own track record and correcting the problems like lack of support, seriousness, and humility.

As for me. Who am I, what’s my real name, what role do I play. I am nothing but what my alias allows me to be. My real name shall remain anonymous as long as possible. Why, because Ottawa does not respect what is tangible (homegrown talent) it respects the intangible (out of town talent). As for my role, I’m nestled in the urban community, well known enough. I know enough, but would like to learn more… see more… do more. What do I do, and why have I come to this? I’ve always been into so many different outlets visual arts, performing arts, musical arts??? I guess writing is a new outlet. This issue of Ottawa and subsequently Canada and all the crazy things that transpire within its borders have always been on my mind. So I choose to write about it. I also have personal thoughts and ideals I’d like to share. Hopefully, with my hectic schedule, I can keep up with things….
